Seethi Sahib Memorial Polytechnic College under Kerala Muslim Educational Association (KMEA) plays an important role amongst the public for the past 60 years. Department of Civil Engineering, the premier branch is highly sensitive to the requirements of the society around. With the boom of many disruptive technologies, the department is striving its best with an updated curriculum with strong focus on Outcome Based Education, innovative teaching-learning process, state-of-the-art laboratories, strong linkages with the industry and collaborative learning activities, to encourage the students towards higher education and effective career so as to take up challenges in the field civil engineering. The academics is designed in such a way that students get exposed to different areas of fast-growing constructional aspects with advanced methods. Imparting this branch of subjects focuses on providing good hands-on experience through well-equipped laboratories and ample industry-oriented training.

Other features of the department include providing consultancy services to general public, extending technical expertise to Tirur Municipality and nearby local bodies.
